Last year, when gatherings were at a minimum, we felt even more delighted for the couples who were able to celebrate their wedding days (no matter how many changes needed to be made!). Once the middle of September arrived, it was high time for Anna and Eric to celebrate their much-awaited ceremony and reception with their favorite people.

The weather at the tail end of the summer in Minnesota is beautiful. Temperatures have cooled ever so slightly as we wait for fall’s impending arrival, but the light is just as warm as it was throughout our warmest season of the year. Thankfully, Anna and Eric were able to delight in a wonderful day filled with some of the prettiest sunshine we had all year!

Like many of our couples, they spent their mornings getting ready in our bride and groom suites onsite with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. We have to note how much we loved A+E’s color palette. The pops of burgundy were wonderful, and they looked especially fitting when our barn served as a backdrop in their photos! Speaking of our barn, Anna and Eric shared their first look in front of it before their wedding party joined them for more photos. We loved this part of their day!

After Anna and Eric were officially married during their ceremony, they stepped away once more to capture additional photos with their photographer. Because these occurred close to golden hour, the light was the most beautiful it had been all day. The sun seemed to glow around them!

To get their reception underway, Anna and Eric’s guests were invited inside the barn. Tables were adorned with centerpieces filled with in-season burgundy blooms. Plus, we also loved how their head table was lined with greenery. Because they were celebrating during 2020, individual sized bottles of hand sanitizer awaited guests at their seats.

Once inside the barn, it was time for Anna and Eric to celebrate! Together with their friends and family, A+E danced, listened to speeches, and enjoyed a shared meal. Though we love every moment of a wedding day, witnessing loved ones gathered together during the reception may have been the part we loved the most.
